Will lactation bites work for everyone to increase their milk supply?

The answer is not everything works for everyone. However, these bites have oats, brewer’s yeast, and flax seed that should help increase your supply of milk. I would at least try a batch to find out. If not, they are a tasty treat for you and of course, your partner might steal 1 or 2 out of your stash.

Why Brewer’s Yeast?

Brewer’s yeast is rich in B vitamins and amino acids essential for nursing moms. Brewer’s yeast is used in a lot of lactation recipes.  Keep following me for more ideas to increase your breast milk with these cookies.

If at first, you do not want to invest I get it. Instead, try 3 tablespoons of flaxseed instead of only 2. Of course, you can always find it on a certain website that ships to your house in 2 days.

Why Chia Seeds?

The chia seeds will give a little bit of texture to the lactation ball. Chia seeds are known for their minerals, omega-3 fat, antioxidants, and fiber. Chia seeds have fiber and protein which are known for helping those trying to lose weight. You know, I wanted to lose that baby weight as fast as possible.

Peanut butter? But I like a different nut butter

Awesome! You can add any nut butter (almond, sunflower, etc.) you like. I personally love peanut butter but it needs to taste good to YOU, not me.

Do we really need honey?

No need for honey. It does make them stick together a little better as a binding agent.  If you do not like honey take it out.

What is the best way to store my lactation bites?

Counter? Refrigerator? Freezer?

You can store your location bites on the counter for about an hour, maybe 2. These keep in your refrigerator for 1 week and easily for 1-2 months in the freezer. They are great when craving a snack or if you have a sweet tooth like me. You should take 1-3 out of the freezer right before you change the baby’s diaper. Then sit down to breastfeed with this wonderful snack and a huge cup of water. These cookies will help increase your breast milk. I hope this helps you as much as it did me!
