Unusual Treats to Increase your Breastmilk

Enjoy a few Unusual Treats to Increase your Breastmilk

Are you tired of hearing about the same foods to increase your breastmilk? There are a thousand recipes for smoothies, overnight oats, granola bars, and lactation cookies. At times, you feel like you are just eating the same thing and looking for something different. Here are some unusual treats to increase your breastmilk production.

For Thanksgiving this year, try out the pumpkin chocolate chip oatmeal pie alongside a regular pumpkin pie. On a hot summer day, reach for a Strawberry lime popsicle. Sit outside and get some vitamin D and enjoy your cold popsicle. My older kiddos love the popsicles as much as I do in the summer.

Here are a few suggestions of different items that will help to increase your breastmilk.

Papaya Milk

Papaya Milk is a refreshing and popular drink in Central America (the Dominican Republic) and Asia. Also, papaya is a fruit that contains galactagogue, a substance that can help increase and improve breast milk production.

Galactagogue will increase your milk supply.  The more common kinds of galactagogue you may have heard of are fenugreek, blessed thistle, and alfalfa.
